The subject of God and the Bible conveys different meanings depending on individual beliefs. Many people choose not to discuss the subject. In some cases, the discussion becomes heated and ends up going nowhere. The same can be said for Christian views on Atheism.
Christians believe that God exists, created all things and believing in God will be your ticket to heaven. Atheists do not believe there is a God, ever was a God and they have no real faith or belief. Atheists feel this way because no one can, or has ever shown them proof to substantiate claims of a God. Another reason for disbelief is because of the tragedies that occur to people almost daily. Their belief is that if there was a loving and caring God, then why do so many terrible things happen to people?
Christians see Atheists as either strong in their beliefs, or weak. A strong willed Atheist sees life with no God of any kind because they don't feel a need for one. They will also try to convince believers that they are wrong by looking for faults in ones' theory.
As to the weak Atheists, Christians see them as someone who really has no opinion as to if there is a real God. They choose not to have any involvement in the Christian beliefs or any discussions of God or religion.
The majority of theologian discussions these days, have to do with how God and religion fit into today's culture. It's a discussion that will continue from now until as Christians believe, the day of reckoning.
