A Christian is a sinner who has been saved by the Grace of God. A Christian believes that God is the only God and that Jesus Christ died for our sins on Calvary. To become a Christian you must ask God to forgive you for all your sins and accept Him into your heart. By accepting Jesus Christ into your heart, you receive the gift of salvation. You become a new creation in Christ.
You are not a Christian just because you go to church or are a good person. Just because your parents are Christians does not mean that you are a Christian also. Being baptized does not make you a Christian, although it is important for a Christian to be baptized. A real Christian knows that they cannot change their lives by themselves, but needs Gods help.
A Christian is someone who tries to live a life the way that Jesus Christ wants them to live. Christians are people who pray and live by the Bible. They go to church and help those who are in need.
Being a Christian does not mean you will not have any troubles, sickness, loss, heartaches or pain. As a Christian, even though we go through these trials, we know that God is always with us and will help us as we go through them. A real Christian loves God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, and loves his neighbor as he loves himself (Mark 12:30-31).
