Jesus

The significance of Jesus in Christianity is simply the bible's prophecy coming true. All throughout the Old Testament are prophecies of the birth of Jesus fulfilling God's plan. In the Gospel according to Matthew, Jesus himself explains his life is to fulfill God's plan. His countless miracles, foresight of betrayal and resurrection, are all prophecies foretold before his birth.

In Christianity, the belief of Christ is the significance. Christianity would not exist without the believe in Jesus as the divine Son of God. The whole concept of God's promise is that of a savior. Jesus is the Son of God, which he promised would come and die for us so that our sins would be forgiven.

Christianity, being the belief in the bible, makes Jesus the most significant aspect. If you follow the teachings of theologians, Jesus is indeed what the experts have determined. With studies of archeology and scientific data, the bible can be verified. That is also another point made in the Word. Your belief will be tested and the proof will be given by one higher than you.

Education and higher authorities are what determine the outcome of the significance in Jesus in Christianity. Everyday something is brought forth to substantiate the writings in the bible to prove Christianity is justified. Worldwide ministries in countries that have never been accessible are one example. Television evangelism with mass production influence is another example of the significance of Jesus in Christianity. He served the masses and "I will give you authority to carry on my teachings" is one of the last things Jesus said to his apostles.
